  1. Note:  only the following modems have been tested and been verified to work with Mac CallerID:
  2. •  Supra external modems (EXPRESS MODEM DOES NOT HAVE CALLERID)

  4. The Following modems have been tested by several users as modems that support caller id and
  5. work with Mac CallerID.
  6. •  Zyxel U-1469E (Initialize modem with AT&F, Turn CallerID on with ATS40=4 and off with ATS40=0)
  7. •  Motorola Power 28.8 & Lifestyle- 3400 (Initialize modem with AT&F, Turn CallerID on with AT*ID1 and off with AT*ID)
  8. •  AU-System PowerBit V.34 & V.FC
  9. •  Best Data - Smart One 28.8 Mac (2834VLXMAC)
  10. •  Global Village Teleport Platinum Fax/Modem. Model number A812.  
  11.         NOTE: NOT ALL GLOBAL VILLAGE MODEMS HAVE 
  12.     CALLER ID SUPORT.  IT IS APPARENTLY AN 
  13.     UNDOCUMENTED FEATURE THAT ONLY A FEW
  14.     OF THESE MODEMS HAVE.

  25. Since the following modems have not been tested they may not work with Mac CallerID.  If you have one of these modems and wish to have Mac CallerID work with them please create a debug log.  Rread the file: "•• PROBLEMS ••  Read Me".  This will instruct you how to create a debug log.  Please make sure that you have a person call you.  Preferably a local call and an out of area call.  I need both types of calls in order for Mac CallerID to function properly for you.
